Priest & Co Strengthen Construction Team

Priest & Co have already decided to strengthen the newly formed Construction Risk team by the addition of Jonathan Monk who has been broking in the London market for over 30 years.

Working with Richard Goodacre at Priest & Co, Monk will concentrate on non marine risks relating to the construction industry. This formidable team has operated successfully in this sector for some time with their latest achievement being the placement of the Amsterdam Metro project.

Monk brings a wealth of knowledge to the team having operated in both the UK and International non-marine markets, mainly within the Casualty sector.

Having started his career at EW Payne, Monk gained further experience across the industry with the likes of Bain Dawes, Hogg Robinson and Crawley Warren. During this time projects included major accounts for BOC, Philips Electronic and Rolls Royce. He also had a key role in bringing major sections of the insurance programme for the 2004 Athens Olympics to the London Market.

The Construction Division works directly with building developers, principals, contractors and government departments. However, they also work alongside partner insurance brokers for specific projects.

Priest & Co are already well known for their fresh approach to the insurance business and have established business in most areas of commercial and corporate risk. The development of the Construction Division is seen as further proof of the determination of Priest & Co to take a major role in risk management. Operating out of Lovat Lane, a short walk from the Lloyd’s building, Priest are ideally suited to this fast growing and demanding industry.
