Providing A Fresh Approach To Legal Risk
Offering bespoke professional indemnity insurance services and solutions for solicitors, at Priest & Co our commitment and dedication to our clients ensures each and every one is provided with the most appropriate insurance options.

Priest and co are registered Lloyd’s insurance brokers with a dedicated team of professional indemnity specialists who have been advising on solicitors professional indemnity insurance since the open market in 2000.

Whilst we specialise in the placement of professional indemnity insurance for law firms, we also recognise that the market place is saturated with brokers and can be a confusing and daunting place for law firms struggling to find the right cover. Therefore, rather than just acting as a broker, we are also happy to advise on how to approach the entire market, including those insurers we do not have access to.

The biggest mistake law firms make year on year is to flood the market with too many brokers. It is important that you use the market to your advantage rather than turn it away from you.

It can be detrimental to have too many brokers all approaching the same insurers. No insurer wants to see the same risk time and time again from many brokers. Not only is it duplicating work, it also suggests the law firm has no commitment or faith in their broker. On occasions, this can result in insurers choosing to turn business away and subsequently resulting in the law firm losing a valuable opportunity to access a potentially attractive quotation.

We have access to seven of the eleven primary insurers and would be happy to act in a broker capacity for these insurers but equally advise on the best way to approach other insurers who we may not have access to. This way you can be sure you are not flooding the market and will not be dealing with more brokers than is necessary.

To ensure you are securing the best possible deal the 2010 market has to offer, follow our five month step by step guide on www.insitelawmagazine.com  We will be providing three-weekly updates on market conditions and offering commentary on how best to manage the renewal exercise in time for 1st October.
